The first ZEISS XENOS CCM sold in France to be inaugurated at Microrectif
The ZEISS XENOS coordinate measuring machine lends itself to applications in all fields where extreme precision is demanded, whether it be measuring labs, aerospace or the optical industry. The high-end machine combines precision at the limits of what is technically feasible with a measuring range of about one cubic metre.
Microrectif at the forefront of innovation
As a leader in very high precision machining and grinding, Microrectif's aim is to anticipate on forthcoming developments in the market and it decided the best way to do that was to acquire the world's most accurate coordinate measuring machine, the Zeiss Xenos. The head of Microrectif and Micromec advocates perpetual innovation to ensure we stay ahead of the pack on the machining, turning and milling and measuring markets.
Microrectif already had five of the brand's machines before confirming its investment in the Zeiss Xenos and a new state-of-the-art laboratory.
The first firm in France to take delivery of a Zeiss Xenos
This is in fact the first investment in a Zeiss Xenos CMM in France. It uses an innovative technology to achieve accuracy of measurement and optimum dynamics. It features extremely high positioning accuracy clearly below 100 nanometres.
Xenos offers a measuring range of 1500 x 900 x 700 mm - practically one cubic metre - and accuracy of measurement unequalled for this class of measuring volume. Microrectif will therefore be giving French industry access to the performances of an exceptional coordinate measuring machine. Plans are to inaugurate the machine at Microrectif's premises in Saint-Étienne during the first quarter of 2019.
